It's Christmas Eve, afternoon. I have just returned from having brunch with my best friend, Lu. We had a delicious meal and opened presents. She gave me the coolest vintage "syrup" opcanister with "banana" written on top. Ironic because my grandfather had a bakery and creamery in Sulphur Springs, Tx about the year 1920.
It's very quiet in the house. It is a beautiful 60 degree sunny day. Finally! I wonder if the day Christ was born was sunny??? I know it must have been quiet except for the noise of the people and animals. Now we hear tvs (mine is off!) and traffic. The world had no idea of what was about to happen. Prophets had foretold this story for generations. I was to happen tonight.
I will attend a 6:00 candlelight service tonight at church, then come home and finish wrapping. Probably read, then turn in. Quiet, just like the REAL NIGHT of Christmas. I will savor every moment of the "still of the night" until I nod off...
MERRY CHRISTMAS...LOVE TO ALL
